I would like to convey a mood of a person enjoying his/her lone time with his/her favorite cup of whiskey.

Shader
For the plum and grape, I used VrayMultiTexture node to randomly assign color variation to each single fruit.

Texture created in Photoshop using fruit photos.
Whiskey
I used Houdini to add procedural noise detail to the ice. Then I did a boolean operation of the ice cube and the whiskey mesh. Use Peak node to shrink the surface of the ice so that the surface of the ice cubes is not perfectly overlapping with the whiskey mesh.
